I took this picture driving on the old highway between Courtenay and Campbell River. I love the pink hues of light that silhouette the mountains. I was born in the UK, left in 1996, and settled in Canada in 2002. I have lived in the Caribbean, New Zealand, Israel and now here. No matter where I have ventured in the world, the ocean is nearby.

I am an RN and have been a nursing instructor for 20 years. Coming up to two years ago I stepped out of my role of teaching nursing students, to one as an educational developer. I work alongside faculty now you could say that i still impact students inadvertently through this work. The learning curve is steep but I feel that I am where I should be.
